Student Intern - Finance in Irving, TX

Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing workpapers for variance monthly internal reporting.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
• Document data sources, definitions, logic, and steps to workbooks and dashboards for reproducibility.
• Update, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for KPIs and etc.
• Learn and apply data visualization best practices to present complex financial data in an intuitive and easily digestible format.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities related to financial performance.
• Conduct variance analysis and help investigate significant fluctuations.
• Partner with team members to understand their analytical needs and create solutions.
• Present findings to team members, practicing the ability to tell a story with data.

Requirements:

Experience:

• At least 2 years of college preparation towards major.

Education:

• Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program; [Finance/Accounting, or Data/Business Analytics]
• SQL and Microsoft Office Skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others.
• Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills.
• Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
