Mental Health Technician - Acute Psych Adult in Lake Charles, LA

Summary:

Facilitates the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Takes vital signs, weighs patients, and collects routine specimens. Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs various service related activities in support of patient care and the patient care unit
• Responsible for direct and indirect care to assigned patients primarily focusing on hygiene activities of daily living, vital signs and recreational activities

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• BLS

7AM - 7PM
