POSITION SUMMARY: LeadsPlans, organizes, directs the activities of the communications department in accordance with applicable administrative and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

EDUCATION:  High school or equivalent required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: N/A

SKILLS:  

  • Ability to operate telecommunications console and Door Access System
  • Ability to operate Close Circuit TV and all Close Circuit TV related equipment
  • Supervisory skills required;
  • Effective communication skills.

EXPERIENCE: Two years supervisory/management. Two years of CCTV surveillance monitoring and equipment trouble shooting. Three years telecommunication knowledge of telecommunications network; hardware and software required.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

-Responsible to: Director of Loss Prevention & Communication Services

 ENVIRONMENT:

- Bloodborne pathogen   B

Biological hazards while working in the other areas of the hospital.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Manual dexterity to operate telephone console, CCTV cameras, hospital information system, clear audible voice.
