Patient Greeter - Emergency Department - Part Time in Beaumont, TX

Summary:

Assist the Customer Service staff by greeting and directing patients, families and vendors as they enter the facility. Be the informational person that directs people seeking testing, surgery, medical records, etc. Use interpersonal skills and help make the hospital a positive place for patients’, families and visitors. Act as a communication liaison between emergency room associates and patients and families.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, family members and visitors
• Assist with phone calls for patients
• Interact with families in lobby area waiting on patients (keeping them updated)
• Attending to needs of visitors and patients in lobby
• Escort for patients and visitors to main ER Assisting visitors with directions
• Assist visitors with disposition of patients
• Keep triage and lobby area clean (Inform Support Services when service is needed)
• Keep wheelchair supply updated (Inform Support Services as needed)
• Continuous rounds on all patients and visitors in 15 minute intervals
• Offer comfort measures (blankets and pillows)
• Interview admitted patients for customer quality

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
