Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist Lead is to be an advanced, experienced user of the gamma cameras and able to demonstrate mastery of all hospital or clinical-level imaging competencies. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Lead Technologist is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling, and daily work assignments, and serves as a resource for the technologists in the NM Department. Helps to ensure operations function at top levels of efficiency and exceed customer expectations. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Lead Tech will help coordinate the training and development of the NM Technologists, keeping them advised of technological and procedure changes and participating in their growth and competency requirements. Observe radiation, personnel, and patient safety measures. Monitors ordering, receiving, and documentation of all radionuclides and pharmaceuticals used in the department. Ensures daily logs and periodic tests are performed as required by the license. Willingly assists physicians in some therapeutic treatments. Excellent communication skills are necessary.
