Student Intern - Health Plan Finance Encounter at CHRISTUS Ministry System Office

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in CHRISTUS Health Plan’s Finance Encounter team.

Responsibilities:

• Submit medical and pharmacy claims to ensure compliance with program requirements and deadlines
• Review and reconcile medical and pharmacy claims to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Identify discrepancies or gaps in claims data across Medicare Advantage, Healthcare Exchange, and US Family Health Plan programs.
• Support data analysis to uncover trends, issues, and areas for process improvement.
• Provide regular progress updates, flagging potential concerns or roadblocks to senior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues promptly.
• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
