Summary:
The Program Director of Security Risk Management's duty will be to develop procedures that mitigate risk to Patients, Visitors, Associates, Providers, and Security Officers. The Program Director will conduct investigations for critical security incidents, reporting findings and recommendations to the leadership team. Conduct training in conflict resolution and management. CHRISTUS-approved uniforms must be worn in accordance with dress code requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Implement an ongoing process of identifying and or completing security risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate events involving violence or potential or actual harm to associates, patients or visitors.
• Conduct critical incident investigations to include events of violence, potential or actual harm to associates, patients or visitors and allegations of abuse.
• Assist with training of security officers in a variety of areas as needed including orientation, de-escalation and conflict resolution.
• Participate in the System’s workplace violence prevention program.
• Develop and manage long-term risk strategies to mitigate harm to patients, visitors, staff, and property.
• Review and assist with amendments or preparation of various policies including certain security policies and procedures ensuring alignment with CHRISTUS Core Values.
• Promote a safe environment by fostering relationships with the clinical healthcare team and Security staff.
• Serve as a liaison between Security and other System departments including but not limited to System Legal/Risk Management.
• Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in operating security systems, including Digital Video Recorders (NVR), security monitors (CCTV), and Body Worn Cameras.
• Must be proficient with using a PC to generate electronic incident reports, emails, and other applicable electronic correspondence to perform duties.
• Demonstrates competence to perform assigned tasks by System Legal/Risk Management.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact appropriately with all staff, patients, and visitors under challenging circumstances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
