Patient Care Technician, ECC OB ED Unit - Full time at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System

Summary:

Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, the Nurse Assistant/PCT performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Nursing Department policies and procedures. The Nurse Assistant/PCT is able to assist with the care of hospitalized patients. The Nurse Assistant/PCT may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital/department policies, procedures, and protocols. 

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Assistant training program or two (2) years prior experience as Nurse Assistant in another health care facility; or proof of acceptance into an approved LVN program. 

B. Experience

Six (6) months experience in a hospital preferred.

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

AHA BLS certification within two (2) weeks of employment
