Villa de Matel Center 

Please note that this position is with the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word at Villa de Matel Center located in Houston, Texas. The Villa de Matel Center is the home for the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. It is also used as a central gathering place for the Sisters and their ministries, a retirement center for the Sisters and a retreat center for the public. Summary

The Director of Facility Services is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Villa de Matel Center (VDMC) Facility Services department and associated properties and vehicles to provide a safe, clean, attractive and healthy environment in an efficient and economical manner; including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping and security of facilities.

Requirements

A. Education/Skills: 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Building Construction, Architecture or related field or equivalent experience in facility management. 
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and written specifications.
• Familiarity with construction, architecture and various systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades.
• Project management experience.
• Budgeting experience.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated up-to-date skills in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office and other office automation systems including energy management systems and others as computer technology continues to advance.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and amicably with multiple individuals.
• Ability to protect the confidentiality of all information.
• Knowledge of Spanish language is highly desirable but not required.

 B. Experience:

• 5 or more years of experience in facility management.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience

 C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: 

• Boiler Operator’s Permit, preferred
• UST Permit, Fuel Underground Storage Tank, required (can obtain once hired).
