Summary:

Vice President, Client Services has the responsibility of being the Information Service’s ambassador for all IS activities within CHRISTUS Health communities. This position will seek to understand key initiatives and strategic plans and facilitate the delivery of systems supporting a transformative, engaging, flexible and recognizable organization. This position will develop a deep understanding of Information Services’ capabilities, key initiatives and expertise and will partner to support or deliver solutions to the organization. The VP Client Services will drive the assessment of the organization across technology and processes determining how Information Services can collaborate to bring efficiencies and/or provide expertise. In this role, he or she will engage the organization at all levels to identify pain points and opportunities to lower costs and improve the quality of services IM delivers. 

The Vice President, Client Services reports to the Chief Information Officer and is a part of the Information Services Leadership Team which is accountable for developing, articulating and executing the Information Management vision and strategy; directing routine operation and delivery of all information systems and processes; approving and managing budgets and contracts; delivering high quality, cost effective solutions to all levels of users; and supporting the business goals and objectives for the IS Department and the CHRISTUS organization as a whole. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Health Care, Business or related field.
  • Master’s degree with focus on business or health care required.
  • Education and experience in relevant Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) support and delivery processes.
  • Knowledge about developing business cases for technical projects with many uncertainties.

Experience:

  • A track record of working in geographically diverse complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated business savvy to work effectively with other executives to achieve key business and technology goals.
  • Fifteen years of progressively more responsible experience in large complex information systems environments with a wide variety of Health Care Management Information Systems applications and technologies recommended.
  • Experience in the planning and delivery of technology strategies.
  • Experience in providing and managing customer support.
  • Experience in presenting/facilitating with large groups, particularly at leadership levels.
  • Experience in leading major information management programs in key business areas.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and C-Suite/Board communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically across both international and domestic markets recognizing synergies and opportunities to re-use current technological solutions.
  • Executive must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal, change management, and communication skills.
