Responsible for daily operational communication and process control related to the medical surgical Supply Chain between CHRISTUS St. Michael Facility and Procurement Center.Ability to make decisions and follows written instructions with a high degree of accuracy.Computer skills and familiarity with automated supply systems are required. Must be able to read and interpret computer reports and listings.Must have good communication skills and arithmetic ability.Excellent customer service skills.Must be a self-starter.

Must respect confidentiality of information contained in contracts, price lists, and bids.Must be able to relate to vendor representatives in a business-like way that instills confidence.

1.Maintains consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.

2.Initiate, coordinate and set up systems to communicate with the Procurement Team Includes phone, fax and email and all electronic generated system supply chain requisitions
3.Assist CSM and Procurement by reviewing system generated par level replenishment data to ensure adequate supplies are on hand and to prevent stock out, incorrect orders and shipments. This refers to the ‘Anticipated PO Process.’ Works in a team concept to achieve this task
4.Assist staff in documentation on Return Purchase orders
5.Expedite and demonstrate sound judgment on handling emergency supply acquisitions
6.Assist in training hospital staff on generation of Non Stock Requisitions
7.Attend Value Analysis Meetings and assist DMM in gathering required data as needed.
8.Data includes but not limited to annual usage reports, slow moving and obsolete items reports, utilization by department, contract compliance and comparative pricing.
9.Assist DMM and vendors in completing Request For Product Technology – Medical Supplies and Equipment Form to ensure completeness and accuracy.
10.Assist DMM and Office Coordinator in obtaining Consignment Agreements and Exhibit Forms and to work with Internal Audit on Quarterly Consignment reviews.
11. Assist DMM and Management team to improve processes and systems related to the partnership with the System Office Procurement Team to achieve high levels of satisfaction.

12.As directed, also support all similar activities at the Rehab and Atlanta Campuses.


Associates Degree or Bachelor degree preferred, experience in an applicable field.

Knowledge or background in Purchasing/Procurement

Proven familiarity with health care/hospital medical/surgical supplies

Basic computer knowledge.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
