Supervisor Patient Access Call Center Job in Tyler
Responsible to oversee daily operations of assigned areas. Assist the Patient Access Director in maintaining department reports. Assists in all areas as needed. Also, coordinate the functions of the following admission areas: Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Room, Day Surgery, Auditors and Customer Service. Responsible for insuring staff is trained and performance objectives are met. Creates and maintains Associate work schedules and manages time off for team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred. Basic clerical sills, i.e., data entry, filling, good communication and organizational skills, excellent telephone etiquette. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance carriers, PC Skills at 40 wpm. Experience dealing with the public a must. Demonstrate customer, team and interdepartmental orientation based on CQI principles.
- Two to three years of current experience in office management or equivalent in health care setting, wherein supervised at least one individual.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification through National Association of Healthcare Access Management required.
