A 19 bed observation department that allows for a variety of skill set. We monitor patients related to GI, respiratory, neuro, GU and many more. If you’re looking for a fast pace team oriented department, OCC is the department for you. Nurse to patient ratio is 4:1 to 5:1 with charge nurses and unit techs to support the great quality care you provide.

Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.

Requirements:

• TX RN license
• Associate degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Able to use computer, keyboard and mouse proficiently
• BCLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months bedside nursing experience required
