Summary:

This department is a smaller specialty unit that flourishes alongside our fantastic GI and Pulmonary physicians. The two roles within the GI/Pulmonary lab include Endoscopy Techs and Registered Nurses. Working in unison, these two roles care for patients pre-procedure, intraoperatively, and post-procedure. Some of the procedures performed in this department include: colonoscopy, EGD, PEG placement, BRAVO, esophageal dilation, bronchoscopy, and EBUS. The anesthesia group that assists with procedures is made up of 16 compassionate and technically skilled CRNAs. We strive to continue to meet our departmental goals which include maintaining strong interpersonal work relationships, using a team-oriented approach in day-to-day activities, knowledge advancement support, and challenging each team member to pursue self-growth through team bonding activities and educational opportunities. Requirements:

Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.

Six (6) months experience preferred.

Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana.

American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment
