Out Patient Pavilion PRE and POST UNIT
Our Pre-& Post unit cares for patients during the Pre-assessment, Pre-Procedure, and Post Anesthesia phase I & II.
The patient populations consist of pediatrics, adolescents, young, mature and elderly adults. This fast pace unit works efficiently within a framework designed to meet our patients’ physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Our services include Pain Management, General, Robotics, Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastic, Podiatry, & Urology.
We are located in the Outpatient Pavilion (OPP) Surgery Center located on the 3rd floor at 755 North 11th street in Beaumont, Texas.
We have 10 Pre-Op beds, 10 PACU bays, 2 PACU Block rooms, 6 Phase II step down bays, and 4 extended stay private room and 2 Pre-Assessment rooms. Daily staffing is dependent on the number of cases scheduled.
We are open Monday through Friday, no call , no weekends, and no Holidays.
Our shift range is from 6 am to 7 pm.
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates, coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and the activities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. The Registered Nurse is able to provide direct and indirect care to patients.
- Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Six (6) months experience preferred
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment
