Registered Nurse, Pre Operative - Full time Job in Lake Charles

Job Description

Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Day Surgery Manager and daily Charge Nurse, the Day Surgery Nurse is responsible for rendering and/or directing professional and nonprofessional personnel in the delivery of patient care by use of the nursing process, and for coordination of related activities. The Day Surgery Nurse is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is followed through direct performance and/or leadership of other personnel in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills

Graduate of a RN program; BS in nursing preferred but not required; excellent written and verbal communication skills 

B. Experience

One year of acute care experience preferred

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

Registered Nurse within the state of Louisiana; American Heart Association Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS or completion within 90 days of employment
