Please note that this position is with the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word at Villa de Matel Center located in Houston, Texas. The Villa de Matel Center is the home for the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. It is also used as a central gathering place for the Sisters and their ministries, a retirement center for the Sisters and a retreat center for the public. Summary:

The Registered HVAC and Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all refrigerators and air conditioning equipment and units, including associated piping and insulation.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years technical or trade school
• Registered A/C & Refrigeration Technician
• Be familiar with tools and methods of trade, including knowledge of safety codes and regulations
• Ability to plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches or drawings
• Knowledge of energy management computer program preferred
• 4 years air conditioning and refrigeration experience
• Texas Driver’s License
  
• HVAC & R Service Training Certification
  
• Refrigerant Recovery Usage Certification
• Boiler Operators Permit
