Summary:

Utilizes Radiation Therapy Equipment, under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, for the delivery of prescribed doses of ionizing radiation and records pertinent treatment parameters as indicated. Performs simulation procedures, accurately outlines treatment portals and documents parameters in the treatment record.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and knowledge of Radiation Therapy Theory and Practice.

Licenses, Registrations or Certifications

· Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy / Radiography.

· Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology in the State of Louisiana.
