The Project Analyst for the CDPI will be responsible for assisting with project planning, and with designing the collection and use of data for the CDPI program. The Project Analyst will be responsible for assisting the CDPI Physician Directors and the CDPI Performance Improvement Nurses with statistical analyses, and control chart building and other graphical displays of data. The Project Analyst will also assist with literature searches and evidence-based guideline development.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree with coursework in statistics and epidemiology required. Two years extensive background in statistics and epidemiology or health services research may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree. A Master's of Science or of Public Health preferred.
Graduation from a program for Physician Assistants approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association OR graduation from a National League for Nursing (NLN) approved program for Nurse Practitioners highly desired.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: None
SKILLS: Must have working knowledge of statistical methods and study design, and be able to present data graphically using control charts and other displays. Previous experience with healthcare environment or medical research preferable. Knowledge of SAS or other statistical software and advanced Excel desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in statistics and epidemiology or health services research preferred.

General office environment and general hospital departments/nursing units 100% of the day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move around the hospital to all units/departments for about 20% of the day, sitting in office 80% of the day. Extensive use of a computer of required applications. Requires close work, good vision, dexterity to write as well as to type.
