Monitors and implements POCT program established under the Laboratory POCT CLIA license; ensures that this Program complies with regulatory agency standards; serves as a resource for other departments holding CLIA licenses. In conjunction with nursing, trains staff performing POCT and monitors POCT procedures; reviews and evaluates all requests for POCT procedures and equipment. Works with the hospital owned clinics and their POC programs. Provides consulting expertise for implementation of new laboratory programs as contracted by SVRMC and ongoing over site of regulatory compliance.
