The Phlebotomy Lab Asst Team Lead is responsible for creating and maintaining the schedule of all Phlebotomists, overseeing the hiring, training and competencies of all Phlebotomists. The Phlebotomy Lab Asst Team Lead oversees processing specimens for referral laboratory testing and their test results; maintains overall efficiency of phlebotomy services throughout the laboratory.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline overlooking Corpus Christi Bay is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer and stroke care.   • Graduate of an accredited program of phlebotomy technique and proven ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Basic understanding of clinical laboratory tests, including sample requirements and the ability to research and investigate appropriate sources for information on new or esoteric testing.
  • Demonstrates good guest relations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years experience in the field of phlebotomy.
