Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development assists with planning and organizing fundraising activities for the region while adhering to its mission, vision, objectives, and strategic plan. In addition, this position is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of business and individual donor prospects with a capacity to make five and six-figure gifts to support The SETX Foundation’s specified priorities. The Philanthropy Officer will manage relationships with 50-75 prospective donors and will cultivate, solicit and steward these relationships for the Foundation. This position will also create and execute strategies of prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding gifts to all levels of private citizens, organizations, and foundations as well as grant writing.

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field • Excellent written and communication skills are required. • Energetic, experienced development professional.

 B. Experience • Minimum of two (2) years fundraising experience, preferably 3+ years, in the healthcare and/or not for profit sector. • Must have at least two (2) years proven grant writing experience.
