Job Description
Performs treatments/activities under the supervision and direction of a licensed therapist and/or licensed therapy assistant that supports the operations of the rehabilitation department.
Requirements
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: BLS certification preferred.
SKILLS: Good communication and organizational skills, ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment.
EXPERIENCE: Six months experience in healthcare preferred.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Department Manager
ENVIRONMENT: Works in a clean, well lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients and hazardous chemicals. Subject to stressful professional relationships.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good physical condition.Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking. Lifts, positions, and transfers patients and manipulates occupied equipment. Lifts supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. Potential strains resulting from lifting heavy patients and equipment.
