CHRISTUS St. Vincent Health System is currently seeking a full time Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our comprehensive cancer center team, which provides cutting edge treatments, research, education and integrative medicine. The Center currently offers chemotherapy and hematology infusions, radiation treatments including HDR, IMRT and SRS with two Varian linear accelerators and an on-site lab. We also have full time dietician, triage, social work and navigation.
The CSV Regional Cancer Center is the only cancer center north of Albuquerque and serves patients from all of Northern New Mexico. Essential Functions:The Nurse Practitioner provides extraordinary care to patients with a diagnosis of cancer in the oncology service line. The NP works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for assessment and accurate diagnosis, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, prescribing appropriate medications, and supporting patient through their treatment plan. Consults with physician as necessary. Educates and counsels patients to promote healthy behaviors and prevent side effects of treatment. Works collaboratively with other health care providers to offer comprehensive care to facilitate healing, with opportunity to do inpatient and/or outpatient work.
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- 2+ years of post-training experience practicing within a comprehensive cancer program preferred.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
- NM State Licensure or ability to obtain
- Certification as an NP required with AOCNP preferred
