The Intensivist Group at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital is seeking a Licensed Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join their group. Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients in the 26 bed Intensive Care Unit of a 241 bed general acute care hospital. Utilizing an attractive 12 hour shift day/night schedule, working 14 days per month, provides a structured environment with planned time off. No call is required. 

The successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PA/NP program, be board certified in their respective profession and have licensure in the state of Louisiana. 

We welcome new graduate candidates and are fully prepared to invest in the education process to prepare you to succeed in a critical care setting. We will teach you how to recognize, evaluate, diagnose and treat critical care issues. In addition, various procedures are required in the ICU to include intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture and chest tube placement. Our team will train you in each of these and ensure that you are proficient. Prior to more independent practice you will have the opportunity to go through an extensive orientation process that will include didactics on critical care while you are being supervised by a member of our team.
