Job Description

Summary:

Possess knowledge and skills in sterile and aseptic techniques. Has the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon in caring for the patient to make the procedure as smooth and efficient as possible. Prepare and scrub for cases as assigned. Maintain instruments, medication, supplies and equipment required for each procedure. Pull cases up to 72 hours before case. Assist Purchasing Tech and Sterile Processing Tech with their job duties, which will assist you in preparing your cases and room.

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalency required
• Completion of Scrub Tech program preferred, certification preferable or one to two years’ experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
• BLS required
