MT, Medical Technologist - Microbiology Job in Tyler

Summary:

Performs clinical testing in the Microbiology sections to include the following:

• Process and plate all cultures
• Read Gram stains
• Perform ID & susceptibility testing using Vitek 2XL System
• Set-up and read Kirby-Bauers & ETEST MICs
• Perform Immunology testing
• Perform Molecular testing on Cepheid GeneXpert Infinity System

Requirements:

• MLT or MT certification through ASCP or AMT (or eligible)
• Associates OR Bachelors degree in Medical Technology
• 2-3 years microbiology experience preferred
• Phlebotomy, Microscope skills, blood cell identification skills
• Laboratory Information System
• Laboratory Automated Analyzers
