Monitor Technician, Monitoring Central Telemetry - PRN Job in Lake Charles

Job Description

Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director or Charge Nurse, the Telemetry Technician assumes the responsibilities for constant electro-cardiographic monitoring with rapid, accurate notification of questionable patterns, and provides accurate documentation of information obtained from the cardiac monitoring equipment.

Requirements:

A. Education/Skills

·EKG/arrhythmia interpretation background desired

·Basic knowledge of medical terminology 

·Successful completion of a hospital sponsored dysrhythmia interpretation course within the introductory period

B. Experience

EMT experience or hospital oriented background desirable

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
