Job Description
Summary:
The Manager Radiology oversees operations and service line strategy development and deployment of inpatient and outpatient radiology services within the market service area. The Manager ensures the highest level of quality and customer relations performance in all service areas and works with leadership and physicians to achieve such. The Manager ensures compliance with all federal, state and regulatory agencies.
• Supervise the daily activities of the Radiology Department
• Prepare work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions
• Provides in-service and training in Radiology procedures to technologists
• Interviews, hires and counsels Radiology technologists
• Assists with formulating clinical policies and procedures that pertain to the Radiology portion of the department
• Respond to any and all complaints regarding Radiology services; ensuring resolution/recommendations
• Prepares daily and monthly productivity reports for the Radiology department
• Prepares the monthly statistics for the Radiology department
• Perform the duties of Radiologic Technologist as needed
• Works closely with Regional Director of Radiology to prepare operational budget
• Works closely with Regional Director of Radiology for capital equipment needs and strategic plan
• Reporting and preparation of performance improvement initiatives and results
• Works closely with resource groups to implement cost saving measures
• Monitors customer (patients, associates and physicians) satisfaction on a routine basis and recommends and implements improvements to meet goals
• Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department
• Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age specific and other developmental needs of each patient served
• Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred
MRT License in state of employment OR MRT Temp License in state of employment
RRT License in state of employment
