Summary:

The Lead Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist performs all phlebotomy procedures and supervises the phlebotomy staff to assure timely collection of all specimens. Responsible for ordering general laboratory and phlebotomy supplies. Assists in specimen processing/handling and designated testing functions in all areas of the lab, under the supervision of the Laboratory Coordinator/Supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy certification, required
• PBT(ASCP)
• Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
• 2-5 years of phlebotomy, technical, and clerical experience, required
• 5+ years of phlebotomy, technical, and clerical experience, preferred
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
• Communication skills
• Specimen Processing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations
