Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst Senior Job in Irving

Summary:

Responsible for providing support and project implementation services for human resources applications. Works with internal Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams to define system specifications/requirements, design, develop, program, and test features and functionality within various HR modules/applications.

Support responsibilities include primary ownership (serving as Subject Matter Expert) of medium-to-high complexity modules/applications. Requires solid understanding of HR business processes, workflow, and system architecture. Requires troubleshooting and testing skills to address break-fixes and routine patch/upgrade rollouts. Requires programming/coding skills to develop new enhancements and customizations based upon business needs.

Project implementation responsibilities include collaborating with internal partners to analyze, program, test, document and implement medium-to-high complexity enhancements and feature rollouts. This position requires both HR business process knowledge and systems expertise, in order to effectively outline recommendations/options and implement enhancements with minimal guidance. 

  • Build and generate reports and data files, including SQL queries, out of HRIS systems
  • Collaborate with internal and vendor partners to identify and resolve application issues (break-fixes)
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for assigned HR applications/modules, providing guidance and support to internal partners regarding system usage and optimization
  • Collaborate with internal partners regarding needed changes/enhancements to applications to better meet business needs
  • Analyze, design, test and implement new technical solutions
  • Serve as project ‘owner’ for feature rollouts, including project management, communication, end-user training, testing and data analysis, maintenance, and documentation
  • Demonstrate increasing technical knowledge of the assigned applications/modules including integrations and impacts to downstream systems & teams
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork, especially with internal customers and partner teams
  • Set priorities/plans and manage a diverse set of tasks with minimal guidance
  • Requires occasional work outside of normal working hours during on-call rotation or during significant outages/implementations 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Understanding of programming principles and design
  • Strong technical knowledge of development of systems, databases, and software configuration, preferably in HRIS-related applications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop and present solutions
  • Must be able to solve complex problems
  • 5 years Human Resources Systems (HRIS) experience
  • Working experience in Design, Coding and Deployment
  • Experience working with internal customers to coordinate projects and design solutions that meet the business needs
