The Food Services Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Department Director in all activities of the kitchen to ensure high level service and quality is delivered to guest, patients and associates. Responsible for the lead and training of kitchen staff in addition to quality assurance of all menu items and catering events. The Food Services Team Lead will assist with the creation of recipes and menu items to ensure quality controls are adhered to and assist with the control of inventory.
A. Education/Skills • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to read, write and speak the English language in such a manner as to be understood by patients, guests, physicians, and other associates. • Possess excellent social skills and the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, physicians, personnel and the general public. • Possess an awareness of the special needs of the elderly and sensitivity to this population. • Considerable initiative judgment and leadership skills are required • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. • Have demonstrated ability to manage personnel
B. Experience • Minimum 5 years hospitality or similar experience. • Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications • Food Handler Certification
