Summary:

Is a primary resource person or “expert” in the operation and use of the highly technical specialty equipment.  Responsible for coordinating the proper use of specialty equipment with the user(s). Assisting Physicians, Surgery staff and others with this specialty equipment prior to and or during specialty cases. Surveys surgical needs and operationalizes the equipment to these procedures and surgical needs. Responsible for maintaining specialty equipment in optimum condition through use of in house services, manufacturer services or third party services. Responsibility will include patient care by working with placement of navigation equipment and supplies around the cranium for brain surgery and spine surgery and laser cases that may involve working with nsg/surgeons and patients.

Requirements:

• BLS
• Biomedical tech experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma
