Summary:

Under the supervision and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, the Emergency Room Technician performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with the Emergency Department policies and procedures. The Emergency Room Technician is able to assist with the care of hospitalized patients. The Emergency Room Technician may be assigned other functions in accordance with hospital/department policies; procedures and protocols. 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an approved Nurse Assistant training course or two years prior experience as Nurse Assistant in another health care facility, or proof of acceptance into an approved LVN program, or current EMT certificate.
• Six (6) months experience in a hospital preferred 
• Proficient in basic nursing tasks.
• Maintains current AHA CPR certification.
