Electroencephalogram - EEG Tech Sr Job in Tyler

With minimum supervision performs EEG's, Nerve Conduction Studies, EMG's, and related exams within the department. The EEG TECH II is also responsible for the physician billing for the department. Assist physicians with preliminary reports and during interpretation. Assist in other areas of the department, when available, in a friendly and helpful manner.

• Performs Quantitative EEG, EEG, Evoked Potentials and Transcranial Doppler • Working knowledge to set up, monitor, down load and edit of raw data for long term video EEG monitoring • Performs EKG's utilizing the Marquette MAC VU, 12, 8 and PC machines • Performs electrocardiograms for in-patient and outpatient population including all ages • Performs routine EEG's, Long term video EEG monitoring for evaluation of possible abnormal brain activity and for epilepsy and medicine modification • Performs Transcranial Doppler studies for evaluation of cerebral blood flow • Performs accurate Evoked Potential recording (Visual Evoked Responses, and Modified Baer) • Performs Holter monitor hookup and the scanning of holter monitor tapes • Performs 12 or 24-hour pneumogram hook-up with or without pulse oximetry for in-patient pediatrics and neonates • Performs cardiac exercise treadmill testing, routine, and pharmacological and Tilt table stress • Schedules all patients for any and all procedures performed in the department that require an appointment • Maintains all diagnostic equipment by assuring that they are properly functioning and cleaned after every patient • Notifies physician daily for exam interpretation and files reports • Checks weekly for needed supplies
