The Director of Change Management (CM) at CHRISTUS, will be the "change champion" responsible for driving transformation across the organization. Acting as an internal business consultant to the CHRISTUS organization, the Director of Change Management will lead transformation initiatives for Associates, as well as initiatives supporting the business, systems, or processes. As well as acknowledging the changes that must be made, the Director of Change Management will use influence and the applicable change management tools to ensure the appropriate changes are implemented. The Director of Change Management will ensure stakeholder engagement and assess organizational readiness.

On an operational level, the Director of Change Management will create and carry out plans and methods that take into account Associate and organizational needs. An emphasis on communicating change in a sensitive and dignified manner are key to fostering change management in alignment with the CHRISTUS culture in order to maximize Associate adoption and proficiency of the changes that impact them, while minimizing Associate resistance.

Key Job Duties:

  • Develop the CHRISTUS change management framework to create organizational change management work plans, success measures, and tools, including fully operational change management plans for specific projects
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the stakeholder landscape, business climate, change readiness, and change impacts prior to recommending 1.) a change strategy and 2.) a set of tactics required to drive behavioral change
  • Work directly, in a coaching capacity, with executive sponsors and senior leaders (as applicable) to ensure they are actively and visibly supporting change throughout a project's lifecycle
  • Generally promote change management tools and strategies across CHRISTUS
  • Onboard and manage change management practitioners (Associates and / or contractors) to address emerging needs

Required Education and Experience

  • Demonstrate at least 5+ Years of Change Management experience
  • At least 3+ Years of People Management experience
  • Master's in Health Administration, Business, Information Systems, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development or a related area of study
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a change management consultant or practitioner within the areas of business consulting, information systems, project management with a focus on Change Management
  • Certification in GE Change Acceleration Process, Prosci, Bridges, or other change management models a plus
  • Ability to apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Understanding of business process concepts: process ownership, process flow mapping, measurement and process optimization
  • Demonstrated influence capabilities across the C-Suite and Business Department Leaders
  • Strong focus on diplomacy and collaboration, team building, customer service and mitigating varying objectives
  • Experience to support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • The ability to provide input, capture and document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs particularly programs deployed via e-learning tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated skill running effective meetings

Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated experience leading an enterprise change management effort
  • Knowledge and experience with improving key business capabilities and processes in areas focused on IT, data management, reporting and analysis
  • Broad-based systems implementation knowledge and capability with a focus on change management, project lifecycles, and transformation initiatives
  • Understanding and appreciation for how the User Experience drives adoption and behavioral change
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Experience working with and facilitating virtual teams
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP™) credential
  • Lean and / or Six Sigma certification
  • Working knowledge of multiple change management methodologies such as Prosci/ADKAR, Bridges, Kotter, etc.
