Summary:

The Clinical Director of the Cardiac catheterization laboratory Manages the nursing services and staff for a department; ensures quality and full compliance with relevant policies and standards. 

• Responsible for the implementation of improvement strategies to system entities for the promotion of decreased variation in treatment modalities for the identified patient populations • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively drive improved performance and increased compliance in a multidisciplinary setting • Teaches, mentors and serves as a content expert for all staff regarding program initiatives • Designs metrics and develops reports that effectively demonstrate the effectiveness of the program from clinical, financial, satisfaction and outcome perspectives • Designs programs/initiatives with Population Health to maximize Primary Care utilization • Fosters partnerships with FQHC providers to establish Primary care for Medicaid/low income • Operationally responsible for CMS DRGs to include: readmissions, standards of care, length of stay • Reportable to Executive Director of Quality Management/VPMA Directs the design and monitoring of key outcome and process metrics for the identified patient populations • Directs and facilitates the review of metrics on a monthly basis in the targeted DRG workgroups

Requirements:

Education/Skills

·Bachelor's Degree required

·BSN preferred 

Experience

·Minimum of  5 years of Cardiac catheterization laboratory procedural experience in a relevant setting

·Minimum of 2 years of healthcare leadership experience preferred 

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

·RN License in state of employment or compact preferred but not required

·BLS
