Emergency Department Technician - Texarkana - PRN Job in Texarkana

Job Description

Summary:

Provides patient transportation within the hospital as directed. Obtains venous blood samples and performs various testing in a correct and timely manner according to protocol. Transports specimens/supplies to other departments as directed. Assists Emergency Department nursing staff with other procedures and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Experience

• Three months experience, preferably in hospitals is desirable, or an equivalent combination of training all experience.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Texas Certified Nurse Aide or EMT certification required.
  
• Basic cardiac life support certification obtained within three months of employment and maintained thereafter.

Work Type:

Per Diem As Needed
