Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Surgery in San Antonio, TX

Job Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Surgery team in San Antonio, TX. This is a clinic-based position with no OR, inpatient, evening, weekend, or call duties. The provider will work independently in the outpatient clinic, primarily seeing post-operative and follow-up patients while collaborating closely with the supervising orthopedic surgeon.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits 

• Manage chronic musculoskeletal conditions and acute orthopedic injuries in an outpatient setting

• Order, interpret, and review imaging and diagnostic studies
• Provide injections, splinting, and other minor in-office procedures as appropriate
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals
• Collaborate with the orthopedic surgeon and care team to ensure seamless patient management
• See patients independently while the surgeon is in the OR

Qualifications

• Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

• Previous orthopedic experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-based approach

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• No weekends, evenings, or call responsibilities
