Summary:
The Manager Human Resources Optimization plays a critical role in the implementation and oversight of strategic planning throughout the CHRISTUS Health System. This role will be responsible for ensuring company-wide alignment around HR Operation Strategies that include project management, process efficiency, compliance, end user experience and development. The Manager will support both the HR Operations and various HR COEs in addressing business needs by creating and managing multiple programs that provide industry leading HR Operations solutions. They will assist in bridging system and process gaps with a commitment to excellence, range and consistency. This role will oversee the HR Optimization Analysts and support staff under HR Optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Work directly with HR COEs Leadership to determine the priorities and drive related programs and initiatives.
- Independently plan and execute multiple initiatives against project plans, change management, and go-live plans; Tracking initiative outcomes, taking lessons learned to expand, improve, and build scalable processes.
- Implement process changes and provide training and change management to a distributed workforce.
- Cultivate and refine HR programs and continuously look for opportunities to improve the HR function, with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Drive change and continuous improvement by challenging the status quo, by being willing to test and iterate, and by identifying risks, issues, and mitigations.
- Use data to inform decisions, processes, and influence stakeholders to create scalable programs and processes that drive results.
- Conduct end-to-end analyses and evaluation of programs and processes, bringing together facts, analysis, and judgment to solve complex problems across a wide variety of topics.
- Independently provides customized meeting facilitation and strategic planning support for system special projects
- Delivers a positive talent experience through continuous communication, follow-up, and engagement throughout the process
- Leads and maintains the effectiveness of the HR Optimization team.
- Independently partners with HR Operations and HR COEs to assess system performance and cost efficiency; revises strategies based on data/results to improve quality
- Provides customized meeting facilitation and strategic planning support for system initiatives
- Provides accurate and efficient service under the pressure of constant deadlines
- Skilled in organizing tasks and establishing priorities
- Gathers data, consistently tracks metrics, and prepares reports
- Enables and assists with continuous improvement and transformation.
- Oversee aspects of HR Optimization, including but not limited to Associate data entry, data research, customer service, system and process optimization & compliance analytics.
- Maintains a strong, cohesive, and congenial collaboration between all COEs of Human Resources.
- Must demonstrate skills in human resources management and effective leadership.

- Independently represent the HR Optimization & Compliance team on complex, cross-functional projects
- With limited guidance, collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and HR COEs to leverage the HRIS system to optimize performance and usage to minimize manual effort
- Deliver high-quality analysis, reports, and presentations, using effective visualizations and storytelling, to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization both on a regular and ad hoc basis
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications).
Experience
• 3+ years combined experience with HR Project Management, data analysis, and direct HR experience required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or program lead experience is preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of experience analyzing data and evaluating process effectiveness preferred
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
