Human Resources Credentialing and Compliance Specialist - HR Shared Services in Irving, TX

Summary:

The Human Resources Credentialing and Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting Associate credentials, including licensure, certification, and registration. Expertise includes adherence to policies, compliance with job requirements and healthcare standards, accurate data entry, maintenance and clean-up of records within the HRIS, verification of licensure, reporting and data analytics, troubleshooting interface errors, and understanding of internal processes. The Specialist provides customer-focused service that aligns with CHRISTUS Health’s core values of compassion, excellence, integrity, dignity, and stewardship. Effective communication with HR Strategy teams, leaders, and Associates is expected through various modes of communication daily. Partnership and collaboration across multiple teams is essential for the HR Credentialing and Compliance Specialist to provide input and support towards achieving desired outcomes within project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Uphold and reinforce internal policy standards, guiding as appropriate to reduce risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Align with internal processes and cascade process expectations to HR partners, leaders, and Associates as we strive to standardize efforts across all ministry locations.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping within the HRIS, third-party systems, shared folders or drives, and any other location where information is stored or shared.
• Process project-related data entry in compliance with job requirements and healthcare standards, ensuring a seamless workflow with no gaps.
• Run ad hoc reports and interpret the data.
• Draw insights by identifying trends and gaps through data analysis and format the information in a way that is easily digestible by the intended audience.
• Routinely perform audits on LCR data to ensure integrity, identify opportunities for improvement, clean-up, or correction, and provide recommendations.
• Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements by working closely with stakeholders to assess, develop, and implement process changes or remediation plans for identified HR-related issues, including, but not limited to, workforce licensing requirements.
• Routinely troubleshoot and resolve interface and license verification errors.
• Provide input and participate in projects where LCR is a stakeholder, as necessary, to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
• Act as a liaison between the Human Resources Strategy teams and third-party vendors, assisting them with troubleshooting and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Work efficiently to provide data, answer questions, and support HR partners when the Joint Commission, Det Norske Veritas, or other accrediting bodies are onsite for auditing.
• Perform testing of the HRIS functionality's current state before rolling out enhancements.
• Ability to successfully work on multiple projects.
• Must execute responsibilities with a sense of urgency and pay attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Perform other HR Compliance or HR program support-related duties or projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, leverage all available resources, and effectively solve problems.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications).
• Ability to scrub, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.

Experience
• 2 - 4 years of compliance in HR or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
