Summary:
• The Communication Technician performs the necessary functions to promote and maintain a courteous, well-organized and efficient communications center in accordance with PICC/Vascular/Transfer Center Department policies and procedures.
• The PICC/Vascular/Transfer Center Communication Center Technician will actively participate in the following: o Depatments Committees o Department Development activities and programs o Public relations activities o Quality assurance and improvement activities and programs o Public Education activities o Departmental continuing education programs and activities
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
B. Experience
• Two (2) years of emergency communications and dispatch experience preferred.
• A good knowledge of Southeast Texas is preferred.
• Knowledge of pre-hospital care organizations and practices in Southeast Texas is preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• Emergency Medical Technician certification by the Texas Department of Health is preferred.
