In partnership with AmeriCorps VISTA, CHRISTUS Health will serve as a sponsor (host site) and hire Community Health VISTA Coordinators across our Ministries.
As a change agent, you will help support the growth and capacity of CHRISTUS Health's community health and social impact efforts resulting in greater alignment to community needs, improvement of community health outcomes, and increased health equity. Furthermore, you will mobilize key individuals and organizations to create coalitions committed to improving community health, develop interventions that address community needs among under-resourced communities, and monitor/evaluate community programs. Living Allowance
You receive a modest bi-weekly living allowance to cover basic expenses.

Non-Competitive Eligibility
AmeriCorps VISTA is the only AmeriCorps program that allows members to earn federal non-competitive eligibility, giving members an edge in the federal hiring process.
End of Service Award
Members can choose between a Segal Education Award (valued at approximately $6,895) to pay for a range of education expenses or a $1,800 cash stipend.
