The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for providing day to day administration, support and building upon the Microsoft SharePoint applications within a multi-organizational environment. The candidate will focus on needs analysis, design, build and go-live in addition to support for a large Microsoft SharePoint environment. Responsibilities include accountability for processes, audit of user authentication and site content and initiatives to ensure business needs are met. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the training program for regional site administrators and coordination of tasks with other Analyst that perform site creations. This position interfaces closely with the business users to understand their needs and expected usage to determine the design and development of new sites and to plan for implementations for the latest version of SharePoint application.

The candidate should have a good understanding of SharePoint environments, development methodology and must also have a strong working knowledge administering large SharePoint environment and experience within programming languages such as .NET, PowerShell, JavaScript libraries, CSS, HTML 5, and SQL.

  • Develop, update and maintain SharePoint configurations of SharePoint Farm
  • Develops customized departmental sites and templates based on requirements provided by each operational and administrative department
  • Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control and deployment.
  • Develops custom solutions using SharePoint Client Object Model, PowerShell, JavaScript Libraries, and.NET
  • Performs content management for SharePoint sites
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of IS service offerings and business needs to ensure recommended solutions are prescribed with the intention of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of those service offerings.
  • Tests, analyzes, collaborates and assists with translating business requirements into technical requirements to ensure a smooth implementation of new enhancements, applications or modules.
  • Utilizes development skills to deliver solutions that automate and audit business processes.
  • Utilizes best practices for development, conducts thorough testing and analysis. Ensures all assigned project tasks required for the implementation of SharePoint are completed on schedule.
  • Adheres to change management policies and procedures, i.e. thorough testing of changes, new applications and instance upgrades in a non-production environment prior to being released in the production environment.
  • Escalates performance issues, unresolvable incidents and service interruptions to SharePoint technical support. Creates and updates incident records in tracking system.
  • QA test new features, enhancements and bug fixes before they are pushed to production
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to express technical issues to non-technical customers.
  • Develop, update and maintain SharePoint configurations of SharePoint Farm
  • Performs backup and restorations of the SharePoint sites
  • Documents and tests Disaster Recovery procedures for SharePoint.
  • Troubleshoots complex SharePoint application problems and server issues, including client environments, application configuration, user permissions, and data accuracy
  • Performs content management for SharePoint sites
  • Resolves application outages, monitors production applications, and supports day-to-day operations of SharePoint servers, including patches and upgrades
  • Develops custom solutions using SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Client Object Model, PowerShell, C#, JavaScript Libraries, Handshake and ASP.NET
  • Defines requirements for hardware platforms, including required resources and projected growth for applications
  • Serves as subject matter expert and technical liaison to business for SharePoint-related matters
  • Documents and maintains system configurations, application settings, and code changes
  • Maintain training documents and perform internal user trainings
  • Perform the SharePoint administration function
  • Lead SharePoint migration from 2010 to 2013
  • Implement custom solutions for SharePoint for work flows, web parts, application pages and related features
  • Review and monitor site usage reports
  • Work with customers to identify requirements, train on usage and troubleshoot problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience (10 years) required.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to solution web or mobile applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools including SharePoint

B. Experience

  • 6+ years' experience of successful hands-on experience with multiple healthcare information systems application and technical platforms required
  • Minimum of four (4) years administration and development experience on SharePoint 2010/2013/2016
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as .NET, HTML 5, PowerShell, MS SQL, MYSQL, PERL and PHP
  • Experience developing workflow solutions to automate existing processes
  • Experience integrating content with SharePoint and Microsoft office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills allowing you to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience utilizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience to solve complex problems
