This position reports to the System Director of Supply Chain Operations and Logistics, with dotted line responsibility to the facility Finance and/or executive team. This position has overall responsibility for the supply chain functions of all facilities within the region including acute hospitals, non-acute facilities and the distribution warehouse. The Regional Director of Materials Management will provide oversight and direction for the advancement of the materials process within the region as well as supply chain process improvements. Position includes development and maintenance of work flow assessments, quality assurance, contract implementation, contract compliance management, data management, Materials Management System policy and procedure development/ maintenance, and Associate career development. This position will collaborate with Corporate Supply Chain and facility leadership to develop and implement strategies that meet the system and regional financial, operational, quality, and customer service goals.

  • Bachelor's Degree or 7 year's experience working within a multi-hospital acute care system.
  • Must be well versed in the use of MS Office suite/Materials Management Applications

  • 5 years' experience in a leadership role in Materials Management overseeing a multi-facility Integrated Delivery Network comprised of acute and non-acute facilities.
  • Must have experience in managing a local distribution center.
  • Must have experience managing Directors of Materials Management.
  • Must have actual experience in new facility acquisition integration to supply chain operations and logistics to include MMIS integration by creating facility, vendor dictionary knowledge, connect general ledger and EOC account numbers, knowledge of user access rules, inventory/dictionary build/use and requisition build/use.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems such as Meditech or Lawson and applications such as ORM Systems, Pyxis/Point of Use, hand-held devices, etc.
  • Must be effective in presenting and meeting with hospital executives.
  • Strong working knowledge cost accounting, finance, reimbursement, ancillary and support services and clinical services.
