This position is responsible for the implementation and management of Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) project activities for CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System. The DSRIP program was created under the 1115 Medicaid waiver for Northeast Texas's Region 1's Regional Health Partnership plan.

The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting of all facets of DSRIP activities, and overall performance of all involved in the projects under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Practice Transformation. The Project Manager position requires strong leadership and project management skills and is responsible for developing an effective communication plan with internal and external customers and core team members. This position is responsible for meetings (internal and external) and the gathering and submission of DSRIP related information (clinical and financial) and other data requests.  The DSRIP Project Manager is required to adhere to all Federal and State regulatory requirements to include OMB Circular A-133 grant compliance for internal and external audits in coordination with the Project Manager along with Regional and Corporate Grant, Tax, and Clinical Departments.

  • Bachelor Degree in Hospital/Business Administration required
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Four to six years of experience in Hospital/Business Administration preferably in a healthcare related environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Experienced in leading process improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in directing major projects/grants in health care
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred but not required.
  • Critical and analytical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate information at all levels within the Region and Corporate System
  • Deadline oriented and possess the ability to multi-task
