Apply Now Program Director of Security Support Job in Irving

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Security and should be staffed with a future-focused, experienced individual with an extensive criminal, internal compliance and investigatory background. The Director of Security Support Investigations and Internal Compliance plays a critical role in the implementation and oversight of strategic planning related to the security throughout the CHRISTUS Health organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring alignment around common reporting and common operational procedures for the security teams across the CHRISTUS Health system.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively supports the mission and vision of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Demonstrates and expects others to demonstrate personal and professional behaviors consistent with CHRISTUS Health's mission, vision and core values.
  • Coordinates with security teams throughout the ministries to ensure implementation of major strategic initiatives relative to safety.
  • Provide guidance and resources to security teams throughout assigned ministries.
  • Ensure security teams throughout assigned ministries are in compliance with all security related policies, procedures, orders and initiatives.
  • Investigate and document events related to security throughout assigned ministries and provide support for other investigations initiated in other areas.
  • Monitors action plans and provides remedies for mitigating failed or at-risk security strategies within assigned ministries.
  • Regularly monitors performance indicators for security team and team members within assigned ministries.
  • Inspects and audits the procedural components of the daily operations of the CHRISTUS Health security team within assigned ministries.
  • Dispenses advice, and guidance in the development and execution of major plans and procedures, consistent with the established policies of CHRISTUS Health within assigned ministries.
  • Conduct training and audit training behavior outcomes within assigned ministries.

A. Education/Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) preferably in Criminal Justice;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, conflict resolution skills, experience in developing and motivating the teamwork concept;
  • Highly skilled at identifying information resources, research methods, data analysis and fact-based decision-making;
  • Possesses ability to judge and prioritize strategic issues and implications for CHRISTUS Health regarding protection of both physical and personnel assets;
  • Ability to methodically investigate criminal activity and internal rule violations using interview and evidentiary techniques;
  • Ability to create procedures and monitor that implementation system wide.

B. Experience

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years in a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement entity as a commissioned licensed peace officer;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership/manager capacity in that entity;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in criminal or internal investigations;
  • Preferred experience in supervising criminal or internal investigators
  • Ability to generate results through influence, education, and compliance techniques. This can be accomplished through coaching sessions or formal corrective actions;
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and develop teamwork in a fast-paced environment;
  • Very strong analytical capability;
  • Advanced proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Prior experience in creating and advancing system-wide projects;
  • Extensive experience in the creation, development and implementation of new policies and procedures.

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

  • Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Master Certificate;
  • Minimum completion of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Incident Command System training in the follow areas:
    • Incident Command System for Healthcare/Hospitals IS-100 HC(b);
    • Incident Command System Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations IS-200 HC(a);
    • Incident Command System 100;
    • Incident Command System 300;
    • Incident Command System 400;
    • National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) IS-700.
    • National Response Plan (NRP) IS-800.a
