Apply Now Practice Administrator II Job in San Antonio

This position is responsible for the operation of professional physician practice operations of a clinical service line, consisting of two or more academic subspecialty sections and 15+ clinical and academic providers. The position is also responsible for, but not limited to, staffing clinic management personnel across the service line, indirectly and directly managing clinic personnel, coaching and mentoring associates, contributing and leading the development of organizational goals and objectives, preparing clinic(s) budget, ensuring data accuracy, preparing financial analyses, and handling complex customer service issues. Additionally, the position is responsible for providing on-going operation support and accountability within the designated service line to help establish and maintain a strong relationship with local physicians and hospital leadership. The position will also support and implement delegated responsibilities as outlined and requested by Hospital Executive Leadership to ensure planned organizational objectives are fulfilled and measured on an on-going basis.

A. Education/Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Services, Business, or related service management area and/or equivalent experience in clinical management, required.
  • Master's degree in related field, preferred.
B. Experience
  • Five or more years of clinic management leadership in a medical group practice and similar experience with hospital-based services.
  • Effective communication and prioritization of healthcare provider and physician issues.
  • Competent in financial reimbursement, with strong skills in billing and collections, CPT, ICD9/ICD10 and HCPCS coding, including specialty coding, medical group operations, and managed care concepts.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate variance in key practice indicators.
  • Must be computer literate and have strong organizational skills.
