Assist members with their specific health/fitness goals. Participate in one-on-one, couples, or small group personal training sessions. Sessions may include traditional exercise or other specialized exercise programming including but not limited to: running, swimming, or cycling. Programs and certifications must be approved by Fitness Manager and must follow Institute for Healthy Living and intradepartmental policies and procedures. Personal Trainers proactively seek to know, meet, and exceed our member's needs with kindness, enthusiasm, support, and excellence.
- Minimum of a nationally recognized/accredited exercise specialist or personal training certification from the approved list of certifications and/or a bachelors degree in an exercise related field. Nationally recognized/accredited certification preferred in addition to bachelors degree. Additional specialty certifications recommended.
- Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibility as a Fitness Specialist. Evidence of current CPR training.
