Nurse Externship- Longview Job in Longview

Summary:

This position provides the student nurse an opportunity to work under the direction of a registered nurse and to gain experience in the areas of nursing professional, nursing processes and nursing practice. This hands-on experience will include educational sessions, job shadow, assist in patient care.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program, with a minimum GPA of 3.25
• Maintain current BLS

• Two letters of recommendation (one peer and one professional from instructor or RN)
• A 500-word essay on why you have chosen a career in nursing and how to plan to apply the CHRISTUS Core values to your individual practice, both as a nurse extern and as a professional registered nurse

Work Type:

Per Diem As Needed (Minimum requirement is one 12-hour shift per pay period)
